New Product: TRUEFUZE® – Powder Coating for Wood-Based Materials
The focus was on TRUEFUZE®, a press-curing thermosetting powder coating system from IBA Powder Coatings, developed specifically for wood-based materials such as MDF, HDF, plywood, and OSB. Coating, curing, and surface texturing are completed in a single step in less than a minute. The gloss level and texture can be precisely controlled—from ultra-matte to high-gloss—with virtually unlimited embossing options.
The system offers consistent quality across all colors and gloss levels, with high resistance to scratches, chemicals, and moisture. Depending on the formulation, additional functions are possible: antibacterial surfaces (ISO 22196), suitability for food contact (EU 10/2011), antistatic or electrically conductive properties (EN 61340), and flame-retardant, fire-tested solutions (EN 45545-2). TRUEFUZE® thus significantly expands the range of applications for powder coatings on wood-based materials.
