Phosphorescent coating powders are also known as glow-in-the-dark products. They contain phosphors and usually glow in a pale green to green-blue color. The mechanism of light generation is similar to that of fluorescent coatings, but the emission of visible light lasts longer after exposure to light. Phosphorescent coating powders glow strongly for several minutes after exposure to light and eventually fade after some time. The coating powders are suitable for indoor and outdoor applications.
